Hi Dan & Debbie,

The Lionel Hampton story is as sad as it was amazing. He went from rags to riches, and back to rags. I only saw the riches to rags part. Hamp and I always had a special love for each other, and always reminded each other of that love. I played with his band in the late sixties when Gladys, his wife, was his manager. Gladys handled the business and hamp was a millionaire. I also played with him after she died and witnessed his empire crashing. How does a man have Jazz Festivals, a Champagne company, and a housing developement in his name, die penniless? It's a long sad story that needs to be told, and perhaps one day it will. Anyway, thanks for writing.

Best,

Ron

Hey Guy's,

When you have a minute, maybe take a peek at our new video clip. Nice footage of Hamp and Frank Foster.

Best,

Ron

Don't see Tulsa in my immediate future. We are preparing for our move to New York City in August and finishing the new CD. I'm hoping once things get settled in NY I can set up a short tour. I would love to sing in Tulsa, especially at the Jazz Depot. Jim and Jeanine Rhea were at my gig in Omaha last Thursday. They are wonderful people. Please keep in touch. Camille

Hi Dan & Debbie,
Thanks again for letting me know about the Global Jazz Network. I've come across an artist named Marta Graciela Bressi on the site and am talking with her about using her work as the cover on my new CD. If all goes well the CD will be out in late June. Have a great Memorial Day Weekend!

Tamm E,

This is a wonderful, and important site, and my friends who have joined seem to agree. Thank you for what must be a ton of work on your end.

Warm regards,

Hi Tamm E!
I was just saying that you knocked this out of the park with TGJN. We have needed something like this for so long and I am telling my friends about this.
so much more. This is real. The people here truly love jazz and we know people like that are not your average people.

I said that it is sort of like a myspace for jazz but it is actually
I have felt for a long time that straight-ahead jazz has been slipping away from us. I have hope now that there will be a resurgence (or shall I say an insurgency:-) to bring this baby back full force!
You just knocked it out of the park. Thanks again.

xoxo,
Janie
