Lovely Lady Eli Fordyce,

I have to just free write this because I want to.

I can't ignore you a moment longer.

I cannot, in all good conscience, go about my business without telling you I love your voice; the way you get into my head and allow me to smile - or hook into a memory of who knows what, it kicks in, and I think of that dear, adorable, talented genius, living where Coleman Hawkins and Thelonious Monk once lived and I am enriched by his Baroness-living-legend-jazz connection to then and now - ...and you working with BARRY HARRIS and I am sooooooo happy I can hear one of his students in this place because you are a professional "personified."

Yes Elli, Thank You.

I'd bet that if you looked around at this list you might find others of his students here. For a while anyone I met in NY in jazz to any degree had at least touch base with Barry's classes at some point. I haven't seen him in quite a while, must go to one of his live outdoor concerts this upcoming season because people from forever show up at those to pay their tributes and enjoy. Maybe you and I should meet and go together?

Hi Ken:

Thank you so much for that and for the offer to post my CD, Something STILL Cool, at All Music Guide.

My email address is ellifordyce@msn.com, website is www.ellifordyce.net and the CD is now available at Amazon.com and has been on CDBaby.com since last year for d/l and with the CD since January.

After getting your comment, searching the site I found this link: http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll. An assistant or CDbaby.com (not sure which or when) arranged for that page last year. Would the link you mentioned contain further or other information?

Feel free to email me at ellifordyce@msn.com and once again, thanks for you attention and interest.

Best,

Elli Fordyce

Tamm E,

This is a wonderful, and important site, and my friends who have joined seem to agree. Thank you for what must be a ton of work on your end.

Warm regards,

Ron

Hi Tamm E!
I was just saying that you knocked this out of the park with TGJN. We have needed something like this for so long and I am telling my friends about this.
so much more. This is real. The people here truly love jazz and we know people like that are not your average people.

I said that it is sort of like a myspace for jazz but it is actually
I have felt for a long time that straight-ahead jazz has been slipping away from us. I have hope now that there will be a resurgence (or shall I say an insurgency:-) to bring this baby back full force!
You just knocked it out of the park. Thanks again.

xoxo,
Janie
