a worldwide movement @the destination where great Jazz minds meet
tommie has not received any gifts yet
ALSO YESTERDAY I RELEASED A NEW TRACK CALLED
I WANT YOU TO HOLD ME
playing on radio shows around the world now and on
http://www.reverbnation.com/tommiesingah
Been a musician for as long as I can remember and writing songs for almost as long.
Originally a classical pianist and still given to playing Chopin which I adore, but I love to create the music I hear in my head - the hard part is getting it to sound something close to what I hear!
I play most of the instruments on my tracks, apart from drums and bass and occasionally guitar and I record all my own songs myself.
Love jazz/rock/fusion but most of all I love to sing the blues the way I sing the blues and I have many bluesy songs in my catalogue.
I decided only quite recently that now is the time to put my music out into the world and so I created
http://www.myspace.com/tommiesingah
and a playlist of some of my own recordings and everything really developed very quickly.
Around ten days or so ago, my blues song
'Can't Leave You Alone' on started to climb the blues chart
http://www.reverbnation.com/tommiesingah
and from the out of the darkness at the bottom is at 8 today.
Very pleasing - for my own recording and a first attempt ever.
There has been such a warm response from all around the world and people have been very generous and kind in their comments on my sounds.
My mission currently is to achieve a pro mastered
album from my recordings and then release my album on the unsuspecting world........................

They are playing four of my currently issued tracks which is great.
But the really exciting part for me is that my song
'Don't Send Me To Hell'
has been voted into the NUMBER ONE spot there by listeners.!!
So a very nice gift going into 2009.
And my song 'Can't Leave You Alone' is still in the top ten of the blues chart at

Thanks for your interest in my work. I think you'd enjoy getting to know about my jazz novels. Brief descriptions of their plots appear at Amazon.com and also at my website, www.veegarcia.com.
FORBIDDEN CIRCLES concerns a Howard University instructor who studies art in Paris, France, for a year during the 1920s (the hot jazz music era). She loses her way in Paris because of her friendly enemies and an obssessive love affair with a trumpet player in the city of light.
THE JAZZ FLOWER, which follows the evolution of a jazz singer, is set in Washington, DC, New York City, and Paris during the 1930s - '50s -- the swing and bebop eras of jazz.
WHATEVER IT TAKES, a contemporary cozy suspense, is about a former journalist on a South Florida island writing a mystery novel against a deadline, and the romance and danger into which she spirals. This novel has a smooth jazz motif.
The characters in my novels are colorful, strong, motivating, dynamic -- in a word, interesting. There is intrigue, treachery, unrequited love, and in a couple of them suspense and murder.
If you decide to purchase and read any of the books, you'll find them fast paced and entertaining. You might relate to some of the experiences of the character who evolves into a professional singer in THE JAZZ FLOWER.
Yes, I think you should get to know some of my work. If it turns out that you do, please let me know.
Have a wonderful day!
