About Me:: Hi ,as a player I'm into and play Blues ,Funk and soul.
As a listener, JAZZ ,blues, funk and soul and some country
I was born and raised in Mt. Vernon,NY. I started playing guitar when I was 13.
For me Mt. Vernon was a veritable hotbed of musical activity,and growing up in such a culturally diverse city I was fortunate enough to be exposed to many different styles of music .
I began playing full time and studying guitar with former OX guitarist Mike Fradella in the summer of 1973 .
Recently I've been studying guitar with acid jazz guitarist Melvin Sparks and jazz guitarist Conor Lyons.
I have worked with Nikki aramstrong singer/songwriter and radio host of WFDU's Blues in The Grooves . on (89.1 fm) in Teaneck ,N.J.
I'm one of many guitarist featured on Nikki's latest CD "New, Borrowed and Blue"
I have proformed at Trumpets jazz club in Montclair NJ.
Club Groove in Greenwich Village, Mexicali Blues in Teaneck NJ.
Lucilles at BB King's in N.Y.C. and Blend bar in Ridgewood, NJ.
I've also worked with Kristian Rex and the Hooligans ,The Roxy Perry Band, Mojo Freddie and the Blues Blasters. singer/songwriter Diane Cricchio,and I am currently working with Blues singer Tom Dudley AKA as Blues Buddha

I was just saying that you knocked this out of the park with TGJN. We have needed something like this for so long and I am telling my friends about this. I said that it is sort of like a myspace for jazz but it is actually so much more. This is real. The people here truly love jazz and we know people like that are not your average people.

I have felt for a long time that straight-ahead jazz has been slipping away from us. I have hope now that there will be a resurgence (or shall I say an insurgency:-) to bring this baby back full force!
